On Wednesday, 29 August 2012, the Marianists and MLC in Deepahalli celebrated Onem, a Kerala harvest and prosperity festival. The day was also the feast of the Martyrdom of St. John the Baptist. Bro. Santhosh also celebrated his birthday. Members of the District Office also attended the celebration. Fr. Varghese and Deacon Birendra celebrated the Eucharist. A festive meal was served later. Fr. Varghese and the scholastics had prepared the meal that day.
