On Friday, 27th July, and Saturday, 28th July 2012, the Marianist Scholastics had their monthly day of recollection. Deacon Kullu Birendra and Fr. Varghese gave the conferences. Saturday, 28th July, was also the feast day of St. Alphonsa Muttathupadathu (1910-1946) the first Indian canonized saint. St. Alphonsa was a Franciscan Sister in the Syro-Malabar Rite in Kerala, India.
