Chaminadean Workshop

On Saturday and Sunday, 22 and 23 October 2011, the District of India sponsored a workshop on the Chaminadean Charism.  Brothers from the neighboring communities, from Jakob Gapp School, the aspirants and the scholastics attended.  Fr. David and Bro. Mark gave presentation.  A number of discussions were also held.  Fr. Pragasam presided at the Eucharist.  A procession was held before the Eucharist.

On Wednesday, 12 October 2011, the Marianist Scholastics celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of the Pillar. 

Marianist World Day of Prayer 2011

This year, the Marianist communities in Bangalore went on pilgrim to Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine in Nagamangalam to celebrate the Marianist World Day of Prayer. 

Miraculous Water from Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine in Nagamangalam, Tamil Nadu, India

Fr. Joy Oonnnukkallel, OSB, Fr. Henri Bonal, MEP, Vicar of St. Mary’s Church, Royakottai, and Mr. Periyanayakam, a traditional Christian devotee from Kelamangalam, gathered together at this farm to discuss the chapel they had started.  The chapel was to be dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes.  While they were in discussion, Mr. Prabhakaran, a farm worker, was digging in the soil and at a depth of a foot and a half, he struck water which created a very large pond, present today.  A 660 foot bore well had been dug nearby but no water had been found.  The spring water cured a worker of diabetes. A number of miracles followed.

On Saturday, 1 October 2011, the Marianist Scholastics at Deepahalli celebrated Foundation Day 2011.  Members of neighboring religious congregations and of the Family of Mary were invited.
