The first year novices took a trip for a picnic on Thursday, 28 April 2011. On their way to the picnic site, they stopped to see the African Rift Valley which is located a short distance from the novitiate. They stopped on the east side of the valley. The picnic site was located in the valley.
Marianist Mission Callings (MMC) had the opportunity to accompany the Eastern Africa Regional Office Community on its Lenten Retreat at Subiaco Retreat Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, 15-17 April 2011. The Subiaco Retreat Centre is conducted by the Benedictine Missionary Sisters.
Bro. Thomas Oldenski, SM, of the University of Dayton, had a conversation with Bro. George Padikara, SG, Director of Sampurna-Montfort College and Bro. Mathew Panathanath, SG on an exchange program between the two schools. Montfort College has extensive graduate programs in guidance and counselling.
